Hi everybody
Yet another race day, they do come round so quickly. We had seven racers today and as usual the results were very close. Once again I failed to make much impact on the results, my 500 performs quite well but I think I will have to "go back to school" for some serious driving lessons.
We started at 9.00am and as usual David was there with Rob at 8.30am getting the equipment out of the leg and resetting the course, once again well done to both of you for your enthusiasm.
Racing ended at 11.00am after four heats, so everything was put away and the racers joined a very good crowd of fellow members on the jetty. I think a message had got to the Rangers about Mark's fall a couple of weeks ago, you could have eaten your dinner off the jetty, it was spotless, thanks very much Rangers. "Please do something about the WEED".
We were able to sail near the jetty if we were careful, there was some prop fowling but overall not much to worry about.
The rain started at around 11.30 so eventually everybody drifted away, (I am beginning to read like a journalist "fowling", ducks "drifted", boats).
All members going to Haydock get in time Friday 3.00pm - 7.00pm, Saturday 9.00am - 9.25am.
See you there!
For those members not going to Haydock, sailing as usual from the Jetty area.
Christine (Hon Sec)
