Left for the  lake early, bad mistake, had to battle through the school run, can you lend me one of your police sirens Dave , that may help in future. Jim Nolan was already there itching to get the cargo boat onto the water for our tug towing day. We were soon ten in number.

The towing was more difficult than expected. with 30 litres of water as ballast aboard the cargo boat and an on shore wind I am afraid we never made all the gates on a complete circuit, good fun all the same and we learnt a few lessons. We need more horesepower !

Christine brought along her steam launch, Ian  his yacht , also in attendance Jim - Sue - John and Derek Grahame, Jim Nolan and Mabel - all in all a good day except that the waders have sprung a leak,
