RACE DAY
Hi everybody
Well, what can I say, six races, eight boats in each race, loads of fun, whacking great batteries and charges charging up power packs in order to gain that competitive edge; we ARE watching out for violations of the rules of course!!! Most importantly we attracted a lot of interest for the people visiting the park. Overall a Fantastic morning's racing
We had many members at the lake enjoying themselves and it was impossible to keep track of how many attended today but there were lots. Please keep the attendance up and lets have fun!
I personally really enjoy our sailing days, everybody gets on with each other and the atmosphere is electric with the jokes and cracks flying between the members, its so good that the time just races by. ( Sorry about the pun )
I will put my sec hat on for a min, thanks to you all for adding your names to the lists of Days Out during the summer it is good to see so much interest, 15 members going to Kirklees that is a record, I promise you you will not be disappointed. I know it is quite a long way to travel in these financially hard times, but as my old dad used to say, bless his heart, "you can't take it with you, spend it".
As usual sailing ended around 12.00 so after tea and toast we all went your separate ways.
All for today, so see you next week
Christine Sec
