Hi Everybody
It's nice to be up and running again. Just a bit of house keeping first. From now on there may only be one blog post per week and I will try to complete a story every Sunday and on days when we are away from Taylor Park, visiting other Clubs.
Please note "we will not be able to use the Landing Stage if the Youth Services are in attendance during August 2012".
We will be sailing in the Jetty area for this period and we will move the 500 course back to it's position to the right of the Jetty, so that we can continue with 500 racing, which has become so popular in our club and long may it continue. Please, if you want a new 500 boat you must let me know ASAP, we will require payment upfront before we make an order for you.
Just to let you know, I spent some time today (Sunday) racing my Club 500 around the area to the right of the Jetty and did not pick up any weed at all, so fingers crossed we should be able to race as normal.
Despite it being a lovely day we only had about 15 members at the lake this morning, but we had a happy time sailing slow boats and partaking in friendly chat with each other, on the whole a very relaxing morning for me, not having to rush around all over the place as I usually do.
We all left around 12 noon, Dave M and I had some refreshments in the cafe and then left for the day.
May I wish all our members who are not 100%, health wise at the moment, a speedy recovery and get yourselves back down to the Lake as soon as you can.
See you next Sunday for another edition of our Blog
Christine (Hon Sec)
