Sunday Morning Sail 29th of July 2012

Hi everybody

Well, what a morning.  Ten members came to the lake despite the fact it poured with rain all morning.  Nobody sailed their boats, that must be a first, but Mark did try to sail his newly acquired yacht and nearly broke his neck in the process, when he slipped whilst walking on the jetty. The reason for his near injury BIRD POO.

It was Friends of Taylor Park Funday today, so our chances of having a sail were limited, just for the record the BBQ provided by the St Johns Centre arrived with all their gear, gazebo, gas range and possibly lots of food despite the terrible conditions.  In my opinion its rules for one and blow the rest of you!! and that is putting it politely.

Despite the above I think we all had a good natter putting the country to rights and by 12.00 we had all drifted away for lunch.

I would ask all members to read the members information page regarding the Forum.  The Committee are very sad that they have had to take this step and unfortunately the forum will not return.  If you need to contact the Committee, please do so by speaking to a Committee member at the lake or much more importantly at the general meetings held at the Stanley Arms.  You can also use the Club's webmail on the website.
Any emails sent via webmail will be dealt with by the Committee.

See the usual crowd on Wednesday and its Club 500 racing next Sunday. Lets have another great race day.

Christine
